As a Lab Sr Tech at the University of Toledo Health Science Campus, you will serve as a critical partner in patient care by analyzing human blood, tissues, and body fluids. Often referred to as Medical Technologists, you will exercise independent judgment to oversee thousands of medical laboratory tests using precision instruments and manual methods. Your work involves correlating test results and interpreting findings against normal or abnormal ranges, providing physicians with the reliable and valid data necessary to determine the presence, extent, and possible cause of disease.
This position requires a high level of professional competence, discretion, and judgment. You will apply advanced principles across disciplines including Clinical Chemistry, Immunology, Blood Bank, Coagulation, Hematology, Clinical Microscopy, and Microbiology. Additionally, you will utilize phlebotomy skills to support the collection of specimens essential for these analyses.
