The Mine/Crusher Operator is a critical role responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of heavy earthmoving and crushing equipment. This position is vital to our mission of maintaining a fully integrated supply chain, ensuring that our crushing plants and haulage fleets operate efficiently and safely.
Depending on experience and skill development, you may operate 40-ton, 70-ton, and 100-ton haul trucks, or manage crushing circuits, conveyors, and radial stackers. Your day-to-day involves conducting pre-operation checks, documenting equipment performance, and adjusting circuits to maintain safety and production targets. You will work in an environment that requires adaptability, whether managing dust control, regulating water usage, or assisting with maintenance tasks to keep the facility running smoothly.
Our facility sits at an elevation of 4,700 feet in an open pit mine or manufacturing setting. Employees work outdoors and may be subject to extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, and wind. The environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes, and airborne particles. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, respirators, and steel-toe boots, is required at all times. Employees must be able to pass a full-face respiratory fit test and work in PPE level C.

Experience on a crushing plant or crusher control room operation. Experience on large bulldozers in open pit mining and pioneering environment. Experience on large haul trucks in a hard rock open pit mining environment. Current MSHA part 46 or part 48 trained. Trained on haul trucks, front end loaders, bull dozers, or crusher. Proficiency in the operation of support equipment, such as graders, excavators, and water trucks. Basic working knowledge of open pit safety rules and regulations. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems of equipment to perform and document pre-shift inspections to evaluate mechanical condition of crushing equipment and ancillary equipment. Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read, understand and speak English. Ability to work well with others and adapt to a changing environment. Ability to operate all equipment on the crushing plant and fill in as needed.
