About the Role
This position is a critical part of our maintenance team, ensuring the continuous operation of our industrial machinery and equipment. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; candidates must be able to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. You will work alongside millwright and maintenance teammates on preventative maintenance repairs, scheduled repair projects, and normal production.
In this role, you will troubleshoot mechanical problems, perform major welding, torching, air gouging, and fabricating, and interpret schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches. You will also analyze plans for new equipment, map out space for assembly, and maintain industrial machinery using hoists, lift trucks, and power tools. The work environment is fast-paced and non-stop, often requiring you to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat.

This role operates on a Night Shift Schedule from 12:00 AM to 9:30 AM. Hiring Process
Candidates must be certified welders and fabricators with experience in different types of welding and fabricating. A welding test will be administered to all qualified candidates. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug screening, which includes both urine and hair follicle testing.

Requirements
- verified2-5 years of millwright/industrial maintenance experience
