Assist teachers with a variety of instructional, clerical, student management, and daily life activities for special education students in special education or general classrooms.
This position is designed for individuals with a strong desire to see young people succeed. As a Special Education Assistant, you will work closely with students, staff, and parents, requiring the ability to relate well to all parties involved. The role demands flexibility to meet the changing needs of students and the application of strong tutorial skills.\n You will be expected to complete tasks independently while possessing knowledge of child guidance principles, basic instructional methods, and techniques. A key part of the job involves supervising students in community settings and participating in training provided by the Special Education Department.
Positions typically occur within the hours of 7:15 AM and 3:30 PM. Exact start and end times may vary based on the needs of the school and the number of hours allocated for the position. This is a school year position.
