About the Role
As a primary teacher in a single subject area, you will serve as a Crew Leader, guiding a specific group of students through their academic journey. Your role extends beyond the classroom; you will collaborate with grade-level teams to implement an inquiry-based, standards-based curriculum. You will be integral to designing project-based expeditions, family workshops, and events in partnership with the school principal, dean of students, and curriculum coach.
Your day will involve continuous assessment of student performance, providing ongoing targeted feedback, facilitating student-led conferences, and overseeing end-of-unit exhibitions. You will also be responsible for implementing and integrating new policies and services that support the school's mission and instructional objectives. In this role, you will mediate positive and restorative resolutions for any challenges that arise with students or parents, fostering a cooperative partnership based on mutual respect.
