Pillsbury’s Private Client & Family Office practice group in New York serves ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and closely held businesses. The team is dedicated to navigating sophisticated domestic and international planning matters, with a specialized focus on complex trust structures and income tax planning. We foster a fast-paced, collaborative environment where attorneys develop holistic expertise to serve the unique needs of multigenerational families.
We are seeking a mid-level Associate to join our New York office. In this role, you will advise clients on sophisticated estate, gift, and income tax planning matters, drafting and implementing complex structures such as irrevocable trusts, GRATs, and charitable trusts. You will act as a strategic partner to family offices, often serving in a capacity analogous to "outside general counsel" by identifying legal needs and coordinating advice across tax, corporate, real estate, and litigation disciplines. This position offers the opportunity to work on integrated planning solutions that require superior judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex numbers in a dynamic setting.
Candidates with significant trusts & estates, private client, or tax experience are encouraged to apply. We look for individuals who are hardworking, dedicated to learning, and possess strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Please submit your application through our standard channels. If you require an accommodation in order to apply for a position, please contact us at PillsburyWorkday@pillsburylaw.com.
