About the Role
This position serves as a strategic partner in safeguarding American Savings Bank's digital infrastructure. The primary purpose is to lead the planning and execution of assessments for internal controls and risk management activities, with a specialized focus on Information Technology and Information Security. Operating with a high degree of independence, the role involves carrying out a comprehensive internal audit plan while documenting and communicating critical findings and recommendations to Management and the Audit Committee.
Day in the Life
You will drive the IT audit risk assessment process, tracking significant changes in risk factors to ensure the bank remains resilient against emerging threats. A key part of your day involves managing a team of IT auditors or co-sourced vendors to execute technology and information security audits. You will formulate recommendations regarding control deficiencies and system ineffectiveness, identifying opportunities for improved control, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
Communication is central to this role. You will prepare and review audit documents, work papers, and reports, presenting complex information in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner to the Audit Committee and management. By meeting regularly with stakeholders, you will provide status updates, forward-looking insights, and foster a strong relationship between technology and information security functions.
