The MEP Superintendent is the central figure in coordinating and managing all activities related to the construction startup and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. This role ensures that all work aligns strictly with contract documents and the project schedule. You will serve as the bridge between the design team, subcontractors, and the client, driving the critical path from preconstruction through final commissioning.
In this position, you will lead the bidding process for mechanical and electrical trades, manage equipment procurement, and develop critical path schedules. Your day-to-day involves tracking construction and startup activities, coordinating equipment deliveries, and reviewing submittals. You will organize project meetings, develop methods of procedure (MOP) for critical work in live environments, and resolve conflicts between trades. Additionally, you will manage the quality control process, oversee startup and pretesting, and support third-party commissioning activities while maintaining comprehensive documentation and strong client relations.
