The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-facing role dedicated to developing and maintaining professional clinical and scientific relationships with external medical experts, including pediatric neurologists, neuromuscular specialists, and neurologists involved in the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
As the clinical and medical expert on the company's products and therapeutic areas, MSLs build long-term relationships and establish rapport with clinicians in hospitals, clinics, and academic centers. This is achieved through highly scientific product and disease state discussions that support the safe and effective utilization of ITF's therapies. The position plays a key role in supporting ITF's medical affairs goals by contributing to internal initiatives such as advisory boards, speaker training, and clinical insights projects.
This role supports care centers across Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in rare neuromuscular diseases, with a preference for prior experience in DMD. Comfort navigating complex scientific conversations, working autonomously in the field, and contributing to a collaborative and close-knit medical affairs team is essential.
