The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a field-based scientific expert dedicated to advancing the understanding of innovative diagnostic technologies for liver disease and metabolic disorders. This position acts as a critical bridge between our organization and the broader medical community, including healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
In this role, you will drive high-level scientific exchange and support clinical initiatives across the United States. You will be the primary scientific contact for external experts, fostering strong relationships within the hepatology, gastroenterology, and metabolic disease communities. Your work ensures that clinical engagement is grounded in robust scientific evidence while maintaining strict medical independence and compliance with governance standards.
You will collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams, including commercial and marketing groups, to identify and support clinical research initiatives, investigator-initiated trials (IITs), and real-world evidence projects. As a scientific representative, you will contribute to the development of medical materials and educational resources, ensuring they meet the highest standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance.
This is a hybrid role based in the Boston Metro Area (Westborough, MA), requiring an in-office presence on Mondays and Wednesdays. The position involves significant field engagement, with travel up to 60% within the assigned territory and occasional international travel (1–2 trips annually) to attend medical congresses, symposia, and advisory boards.
