As a Medical Oncology Physician, you will join a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and an excellent patient experience. You will practice at St. James Hospital, focusing primarily on hematological care with a mix of general oncology. Your day will involve managing a patient base of adults (primarily over 65), seeing 25-30 patients daily, and performing procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, consultations, disease diagnosis, and treatment planning.
You will be supported by a dedicated team including one Advanced Practice Provider, a Radiation Oncologist, Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, a Nurse Navigator, and a Pharmacist. The role utilizes the EPIC EMR system system-wide and offers opportunities to participate in clinical trials and potential medical directorship. You will work a 4-day work week (4/0s), alternating Fridays with the Advanced Practice Provider.
