The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant III (CMA/RMA) serves as a vital bridge between patients and healthcare providers, delivering high-quality, compassionate clinical and administrative support in both outpatient and hospital settings. This position is designed to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and exceptional care through a blend of coordination, education, and hands-on service delivery.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for many patients, conducting comprehensive intakes that include obtaining vital signs, recording medical histories, and reviewing medication and allergy information. Your day will involve assisting providers during examinations, minor procedures, wound care, and diagnostic testing, always prioritizing patient comfort and safety. You will perform specialized tasks such as EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection while maintaining strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in care coordination by supporting patient triage, managing transitions across clinical settings, and facilitating communication among patients, providers, and interdisciplinary teams. You will also provide essential patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, chronic condition management, and preventive care. Accuracy in documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) and proficiency in scheduling, billing, and coding processes are central to ensuring timely and coordinated care.

To succeed in this role, candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. A current CMA, RMA, or CCMA credential is required, along with an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. We seek individuals with at least three years of experience in a healthcare setting who are proficient in obtaining vital signs, administering EKGs, and utilizing EHR systems. While bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are preferred, the ideal candidate will also possess strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to continuous learning and quality improvement.
