The Medical Assistant Certified II serves as a vital leadership resource within our physician clinics, bridging the gap between direct patient care and operational excellence. While maintaining the core clinical duties of a Certified Medical Assistant, this role assumes a mentorship position, guiding other team members on clinical activities and stepping in to support staffing needs across the department.
Integral to our team-based model of care, the CMA II ensures smooth daily operations by managing patient flow, scheduling, and administrative support. You will act as a first point of contact for resolving concerns, addressing issues within your delegated authority to support both patients and staff. This position is designed for those who thrive in a collaborative environment where team members are trained to perform at the highest level permitted by Tennessee and Georgia state guidelines.
Your day involves delivering age-appropriate care by adapting communication styles and interventions to meet the unique developmental stages of our patients. You will apply principles of growth and development across the lifespan to guide clinical decision-making, assessing patient data to identify specific needs and requirements.
Beyond clinical duties, you will oversee clinic efficiency by coordinating appointment times and managing patient transitions between rooms to minimize delays. You will also serve as a lead resource, modeling best practices and providing training to other Medical Assistants. Additionally, you will contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing performance evaluations to enhance overall care delivery and outcomes.
