About the Role

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare delivery by assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring the safety, welfare, and comfort of our patients. You will work within a designated region, traveling to care centers to maintain high standards of patient flow and service.

In this role, you will be an integral part of the clinical team, performing duties ranging from taking patient histories and vital signs to conducting point-of-care testing and assisting providers with exams. You will also manage registration duties, including explaining insurance coverage and collecting payments, while ensuring the examination rooms are stocked and sterile. The position offers the opportunity to train other team members and exercise independent clinical judgment in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circlePerform basic clinical screenings including vision, audio, EKGs, and pulmonary function testing
  • check_circleCollect laboratory samples through phlebotomy and perform point of care testing
  • check_circleDispense medications and document treatment modalities accurately
  • check_circleTrain other team members and travel to designated care centers
  • check_circleTake patient history and obtain vital signs
  • check_circleAdminister subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections
  • check_circleAssist providers with exams, irrigations, I&Ds, and splinting procedures
  • check_circleSchedule patient records, referrals, and coordinate ancillary care
  • check_circleManage patient callbacks, education, and pharmacy issues
  • check_circleMaintain examination rooms, stock supplies, and ensure equipment functionality
  • check_circleMaintain sterile technique, clean instruments, and operate autoclaves
  • check_circleRegister patients, verify insurance coverage, and collect payments

Requirements
