About the Role
As a Level I Patient Scheduler at our Virginia Clinic, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a timely, professional, and courteous experience. You will pre-register and schedule patients for appointments, surgeries, procedures, tests, and other services across multiple service lines, including Ortho Surgery, Podiatry, General Surgery, ENT, Audiology, Ophthalmology, and Dermatology.
Your day involves managing incoming calls, completing follow-up and referral work queues, and coordinating ancillary and procedure scheduling. You will communicate with patient care teams to ensure efficient care, handle patient checkout, and provide cost estimates and itineraries for upcoming visits. Accuracy is key as you enter data into the permanent electronic health record while engaging with patients, updating guarantor information, and verifying insurance eligibility.
