As a Medical Administrative Assistant within the Neurology FPP team at Sinai Hospital, you will serve as a vital link between patients, medical office staff, and physicians. This role exists to proactively identify and respond to the diverse needs of our community, ensuring smooth operations within the medical office.
In this position, you will manage the front-line experience by greeting and directing visitors, patients, and sales representatives. You will handle the flow of communication by placing, receiving, and screening telephone calls, providing general information, and referring complex matters to the appropriate team members. Your day will involve scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, arranging meetings, and managing travel logistics. You will also assist in the registration process by interviewing patients to obtain necessary demographic and insurance information, as well as securing required authorizations.
Beyond administrative duties, you will support the clinical environment by assisting patients in examination rooms when needed, collecting copays, and managing office supplies and inventory. You will also play a key role in optimizing facility and professional charge entry and subsequent collections.
