This position offers a unique opportunity to "plant your flag" in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as part of an immediate solution for advanced navigation systems. While pilots fly the aircraft, our navigation systems create the route and keep them on course. You will join a team of over 5,000 engineers passionate about learning, mentoring, and developing problem-solving skills.
In this role, you will work closely with a hardware engineering team to support ground, weapon, and airborne navigation products. You will assist in capturing technical requirements, creating mechanical design artifacts and CAD models, and supporting integration and verification testing over military-grade climatic and dynamic environments. The role also involves generating and reviewing mechanical design documents, drawings, and reports, as well as assisting in transitioning products to manufacturing. You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines, including electrical, software, systems, and test engineering, to drive design and integration efforts.
This is a full-time onsite position requiring consistent, in-person collaboration at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. The position runs from June through mid-December 2026, and candidates must be available for the entire duration.
