This position serves as a vital engineering resource supporting the P-8A aircraft program. You will be responsible for researching and preparing technical drawings and Flight Clearance Technical Data Packages (TDPs) to ensure structural modifications, including internal racks, sensors, antennas, and radomes, meet rigorous standards. Your work will directly influence the technical development of the product by performing research and analysis to enhance supportability and maintainability concepts based on the twelve logistics elements.
In this role, you will manage technical data, review technical publications, and generate engineering change proposals and technical directives. You will also design and maintain mechanical supporting systems for the P-8 aircraft, determining the appropriate levels and locations for repair activities. The role requires close collaboration with program management and customers to ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards.
As SRC is a contractor for the U.S. Government, this position requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Secret level. Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet all eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Some travel is required for this role.

Designing, developing, and documenting structural / mechanical engineering / installation of internal racks, flooring, bulkheads, aircraft power distribution, flight controls, and external surfaces; Responsible for drafting, compiling, and reviewing mechanical installation design packages, which include technical drawings, concepts of operations, and impact statements; Amending vendor drawings and vendor installation procedures in accordance with (IAW) Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards to integrate and install U.S. Navy P-8A mission systems; Performing physical configuration audits and engineering investigations; Use of Auto-CAD and 3-D mechanical modeling software, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
