This Mechanical Engineer position is designed for professionals who thrive in a hands-on, fabrication-centric environment. You will serve as a technical leader within a multidisciplinary team, driving the design and development of engineering solutions for gas turbine power generation and industrial process systems. The role bridges the gap between conceptual design and physical reality, ensuring that every 3D model and 2D drawing translates seamlessly into manufacturable equipment.
Working within a 40,000-square-foot facility where design, fabrication, and testing occur under one roof, you will engage in a unique workflow that fosters close collaboration between engineers, production staff, and management. This integrated environment allows for rapid iteration and immediate feedback, ensuring that thermal management, vibration control, and structural integrity are optimized from the earliest stages of development. You will act as a liaison across engineering, sales, and purchasing teams, translating technical requirements into solution-centric roadmaps that satisfy both client needs and commercial goals.
The day-to-day involves a blend of deep technical analysis and strategic communication. You will facilitate CAE analyses to validate designs, review manufacturing drawings for fit and integration, and prepare detailed technical documentation. Beyond the technical work, you will champion a growth mindset, contributing to a positive culture where continuous improvement and mentorship are valued. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys the tangible impact of seeing their designs built and tested in-house, while also enjoying the challenge of working in a scaling organization with a tight-knit team.
