The Dell Medical School of The University of Texas at Austin is part of one of the nation's leading research universities. As the fifth medical school in the UT System and the first established in nearly five decades by a member of the Association of American Universities, the school pursues innovation in healthcare delivery redesign, excellence in research, and interdisciplinary education.
Anchored by the Dell Medical School, The University of Texas Medical Center is defining the future of health. Announced in August 2023, this initiative will cement Austin as a premier healthcare destination. The center features two new, state-of-the-art hospitals—a UT specialty hospital and a cancer center built by MD Anderson—combined with the academic and research expertise of UT to provide integrated, world-class care.
The Dell Medical School is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to excellence within its learning health system.
The Department of Women's Health encompasses the full range of subspecialties, including Academic General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine currently includes five members with plans to grow to ten over the next five years. The Assistant / Associate Professor of Maternal Fetal Medicine will join this dynamic team to provide evidence-based, multidisciplinary care for patients requiring high-risk obstetrics services. Beyond clinical care, the role is vital for educating the next generation of leaders and contributing to investigation and discovery in the field.
This position offers a unique opportunity to participate in the design and iteration of value-based high-risk obstetrics care, fostering integration across community and hospital facilities. The successful candidate will help develop new cross-continuum, multidisciplinary care pathways, create care guidelines where national standards do not yet exist, and build partnerships with referring physicians and providers across Austin and Central Texas.
The University of Texas at Austin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. The University does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or sexual orientation in employment or the provision of services.
