About the Role
As a Service Assistant III Material Picker, you will be the backbone of our supply chain operations, ensuring that hospital supply locations and off-site facilities receive the necessary materials on time. Your role is critical in maintaining the safety, security, and efficiency of our department standards.
In this position, you will fulfill customer supply orders using pick tickets and proper documentation, alerting clerical staff to any discrepancies. You will handle supplies and equipment with care to ensure sterility and infection control, pack and transport filled orders to the outbound area, and manage the loading and unloading of shipments and internal transport carts. Your day will involve staging inbound shipments, transporting inventory from the receiving platform to warehouse locations, and restocking supplies using accurate rotation and organization.
Working Environment
This role takes place in a busy hospital environment where unavoidable noise, dust, and dirt are part of the daily landscape. The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. of supplies and push carts loaded with up to 250 lbs. of stock supplies.
