The Materials Clerk serves as a vital link in our warehouse operations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our inventory from the moment materials arrive until they are prepared for shipment. In this full-time, non-exempt role, you will perform essential warehouse and inventory control duties within a professional fabrication environment. You will be responsible for managing the receiving and shipping processes, verifying paperwork against physical items, and maintaining organized storage areas to support our high-volume production needs.
Your day-to-day work involves collaborating with the Inventory and Logistic Supervisor, Plant Manager, and Shop Foreman to resolve material problems and inventory discrepancies as they arise. You will utilize tools and factory equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to move inventory while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail to ensure all items are correctly labeled, documented, and packaged to prevent damage during transit, often involving photography and detailed logging for ISO 9001 compliance and customer audits.
