Inventory Management Specialist II

About the Role

The Inventory Management Specialist II (IMS II) serves as a critical link in ASRC Federal's supply chain operations, ensuring the integrity and availability of stock material within our ISO-certified environment. Working under the direct guidance of Site Management and Material Plan/Control Technical personnel, this role is designed to maintain precise inventory controls and support seamless maintenance operations.

In this position, you will be the guardian of our supply areas. Your day involves validating shipping labels against Kind, Count, and Condition (KCC) standards, organizing stock into designated bins, and utilizing handheld barcode readers to track inventory levels. You will be responsible for scanning bins at or below reorder points, printing and applying necessary labels, and managing bench stock issuance to maintenance teams. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, requiring you to quickly route customer concerns to management while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.

Work Environment & Requirements

This is a full-time, on-site position located at ASRC Federal in Havelock, NC. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role is physically active, requiring the ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift a minimum of 40 pounds daily. Safety is a priority; you may be required to wear hearing protection, safety goggles, and electrostatic dissipative (ESD) wristbands.

Application Instructions

Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid, current driver's license. While previous experience in inventory management, particularly within a military context, or as a Store Keeper/Supply specialist is preferred, we value individuals who are energetic, confident, and possess sound practical judgment and strong communication skills.
