About the Role
Quad in Sussex is seeking a Part-Time Material Handler and Truck Loader. In this role, you will be responsible for loading finished products onto semi-trailers using a propane sit-down forklift, an on-board PC, and an RF bar coding system. You will serve as a vital link in our shipping operations, ensuring products are staged correctly and safely for transport.
Your day will involve performing post-skidding operations such as strapping, banding, wrapping, card-boarding, boxing, baling, weighing, and compressing. You will coordinate trucking of product with the shipping team for staging purposes while maintaining accurate material logs and production records. This position requires effective communication with supervisors and incoming/outgoing operators regarding shift expectations, as well as the ability to assist in other departments as needed.
