As a Material Handler I on the 2nd Shift, you will be the backbone of our operations, ensuring materials and finished products flow seamlessly from the receiving dock to designated storage and workstations. This role is critical for maintaining facility efficiency, requiring you to move, stock, and replenish inventory with precision and speed.
Your day involves a dynamic mix of physical activity and technical operation. You will unload incoming materials, put away stock in the bulk storage area, and ensure workstations are timely replenished. A key part of your workflow includes pulling correct products for boxes and pick locations, transferring finished goods, and managing empty skids and pallets. You will operate hand scanners, manual and motorized pallet jacks, and other equipment like forklifts and order pickers to keep the facility running smoothly.
This position operates in a fast-paced environment with exposure to loud noise and concrete floors. The role requires standing for up to 8 hours a day and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Safety is a top priority; employees are expected to actively participate in safety and health programs, immediately report hazards or unsafe practices, wear required personal protective equipment, and support safety committee activities.
This role is scheduled for the 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM. Hours may vary based on business needs and job completion, potentially including overtime during the week and on weekends.
We are looking for individuals with a High School diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus, as is the ability to work accurately from both verbal and written instructions. While forklift operation certification is required, we value candidates who can resolve basic operating problems and know when to escalate issues to management.
