Material Handler

About the Role

This position serves as a vital link between purchasing and production, ensuring the continuous flow of raw materials and supplies to the manufacturing lines. The role is designed to maintain operational efficiency by managing inventory, executing the kanban replenishment process, and coordinating the movement of parts from receiving to the production floor.

You will work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where you are responsible for interpreting work orders and production schedules to determine material needs. Your day involves operating a forklift to deliver components, conducting inventory counts, and liaising with team members to resolve any discrepancies or supply issues. Success in this role requires a strong adherence to safety protocols and the ability to adapt to seasonal temperature variations and noise levels inherent to the facility.

Work Environment

The role is based on a concrete floor with varying temperatures depending on the season. The environment includes operational noise, requiring the use of designated personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, and dust masks. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, and sit on a forklift for extended periods, as well as the capacity to lift and carry items up to 35 pounds (with assistance for heavier loads) and push or pull up to 100 pounds.

Hours of Work

The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime required as needed to meet production demands.
