About the Role
This position serves as the strategic voice for Olde Towne Medical and Dental Center (OTMDC), a vital community resource within James City County. The role is designed to strengthen the organization's presence in the community and enhance outreach efforts to patients, staff, volunteers, donors, and supporting jurisdictional stakeholders. You will be responsible for planning and executing marketing, communications, and event activities that drive engagement and support the center's mission.
Day in the Life
Your work will blend creative strategy with community connection. You will develop and execute a coordinated communications and marketing plan, building a robust social media strategy through research and audience identification. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to organizing events and managing donor solicitations, where you will identify potential sponsors, develop long-term relationships, and secure funding commitments.
Beyond strategy, you will oversee the monthly e-newsletter, website content, news releases, and promotional materials. You will also manage a comprehensive electronic mailing list and provide ongoing outreach to the greater Williamsburg community. The role requires flexibility, as you may need to work nights and weekends, travel to various work sites, and report during emergency conditions to serve customers.
