The Marine Electrician is responsible for the installation, testing, and repair of marine cables and equipment. This role involves the installation and connection of lighting, electrical power, electronics, and fiber equipment, utilizing hand and power tools along with various test equipment. Success in this position requires the ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to ensure precise execution of electrical systems.
Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of marine cable and equipment installation, testing, and repair, with a minimum of five years of verifiable experience as a Marine Electrician. Familiarity with applicable commercial and government specifications and codes is essential, as is comprehensive knowledge of component and system start-up, troubleshooting, and repair. Applicants must be able to read marine blueprints and work from both standard and metric specifications.
