In this role as an Equipment Maintenance Technician supporting Connectors Manufacturing, you will support the manufacturing of high-quality components used in implantable medical devices. The Brooklyn Center facility supports the design, development, and production of components for a variety of Medtronic businesses. You will support multiple pieces of semi-automated and automated equipment, including resistance welders, vision inspection systems, press fit assembly equipment, electrical testing, sonic welding, adhesive dispensing, and robotics. Your core focus will be maintaining equipment uptime, driving targeted KPIs, completing preventive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience troubleshooting and supporting PLC-controlled equipment (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens). Familiarity with HMI, SCADA, or other automated manufacturing control systems. Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments such as medical device, pharmaceutical, or food production. Knowledge of GMP, GDP, or ISO quality system requirements. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as SAP PM or Maximo. Demonstrated use of root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) to resolve equipment issues. Experience maintaining automated production equipment, robotics, or motion control systems. Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical power transmission systems. Experience supporting equipment installations, upgrades, or capital improvement projects. Participation in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma initiatives. Technical certifications or an associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
