About the Role
The Ride Electrical Maintenance Manager serves as a critical leader within the park's maintenance operations, ensuring the safety and reliability of attractions for millions of guests. Reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance and Construction, this senior-level position operates under occasional supervision to plan, schedule, and manage the comprehensive electrical maintenance of park rides. The role exists to bridge the gap between technical engineering requirements and operational execution, ensuring that all rides meet strict safety codes and regulatory standards while maintaining high availability for guests.
In this capacity, you will coordinate complex projects with internal park departments, external contractors, and ride manufacturers. The day-to-day rhythm involves supervising subordinate staff, reviewing work for effectiveness, and providing technical assistance for troubleshooting and repairs. You will also play a key role in developing long-range maintenance plans, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all local laws and ordinances. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the dynamic needs of the park's operating schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleRespond to inquiries and complaints from associates and guests regarding ride safety
- check_circleParticipate in the installation of new rides and other equipment
- check_circleDevelop long-range plans for ride electrical and mechanical maintenance projects
- check_circleDevelop and monitor ride electrical maintenance budgets and approve purchase orders
- check_circleAssist in planning and implementing annual ride maintenance programs and inspection manuals
- check_circleOversee daily ride inspections and ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations
- check_circleProvide technical assistance for ride inspection, troubleshooting, and repair
- check_circleSupervise subordinate staff including scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work
- check_circleInspect work in progress and completed tasks for compliance with quality and safety standards

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree required
- verified5-7 years related experience in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Maintenance/Controls
- verifiedKnowledge of control processors, components, and communication networks
- verifiedProficient in developing and reading electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical documents
- verifiedKnowledge of ride mechanics including hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drive systems, barring types and installations
- verifiedExperienced in motor and motion control methods and components
Nice to Have
5 - 7 years of related experience specifically in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Maintenance/Controls.
