About the Role
SAAB is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing to lead our Manufacturing & Production operations within the Defense & Aerospace sector. This role is critical to ensuring the on-time, high-quality delivery of complex defense systems. You will oversee day-to-day shop-floor activities, driving operational excellence in a highly innovative and collaborative environment.
In this position, you will translate engineering and program requirements into executable production plans while managing budgets, labor costs, and resource allocation. Your leadership will extend to coaching production supervisors, technicians, and operators to build a high-performing team. You will foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring strict compliance with aerospace and defense quality standards, including maintaining audit-ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleMonitor production performance metrics and drive corrective actions to improve OEE
- check_circleEnsure compliance with aerospace/defense quality and regulatory standards
- check_circleSupport new product introductions and production ramp-ups including process validation
- check_circleParticipate in design and process reviews to improve manufacturability
- check_circleManage manufacturing budgets, labor costs, and resource allocation
- check_circleFoster a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation across the organization
Requirements
- verifiedEligibility to work on defense-related programs per applicable regulations
Nice to Have
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher. Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar.
