About the Role
This position plays a key role in identifying areas of opportunity and efficiency as we modernize our global accounting operations. You will manage closing, forecasting, and budgetary processes for assigned areas of the balance sheet, while providing accounting oversight for various balance sheet areas including worker's compensation reserves, payroll, employee benefits, accruals, prepaids, and bank reconciliations.
Beyond technical execution, you will supervise financial analysts and junior accountants, providing financial and accounting guidance to various departments. This role requires close collaboration with FP&A, Regional finance teams, Treasury, IT, Payroll, Benefits, third-party service providers, and the shared service center to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting. You will also assist the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting with special projects and GAAP research.
Shared Service Center & Leadership
As part of our operational evolution, you will document standard operating procedures for the shared service center regarding the migration of transactional processes. You will collaborate with the shared service center to transition and manage transactional responsibilities, such as preparing account reconciliations, while providing training and oversight to ensure process compliance and efficiency.
In this leadership capacity, you will mentor and develop a staff of two accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. You will also prepare and review support for internal and external audit requests, ensuring SOX compliance for account-related controls.

Requirements
- verified6+ years progressive experience in accounting in a multi-national corporation
- verifiedExperience in a supervisory role
- verifiedExperience with project management or system implementation
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting required
- verifiedMaster's degree preferred
- verifiedCPA preferred
- verifiedStrong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX regulations, and global finance operating models
- verifiedStrong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word required
- verifiedKnowledge of SAP and SAC preferred
Nice to Have
Master's degree in Accounting. CPA certification. Knowledge of SAP and SAC.
