As a Maintenance Technician II (MT2) within the Property Management department, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the mission of Dwelling Place. You will serve as a key leader among the maintenance staff, providing supervisory support, training, and guidance to Maintenance Technicians I and grounds staff. Your work ensures that our properties remain safe, functional, and welcoming environments for residents.
This position goes beyond routine repairs; it is a coordination role designed to manage the operational flow of maintenance for assigned properties. You will oversee the work order system, manage inventory for supplies, and schedule external vendors. A core part of your day involves balancing immediate resident needs with preventative maintenance, ensuring that emergency, on-call, and routine repairs are handled safely and efficiently.
You will act as the primary point of contact for property security, managing master keys and ensuring strict access controls. Your day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting properties for safety hazards, coordinating with other technicians to cover shifts and special projects like evictions or snow removal, and maintaining clear communication with Property Management regarding unit status and delays. Whether shoveling snow, managing landscaping, or troubleshooting equipment, you are responsible for keeping the physical infrastructure of the community in top condition.
