About the Role

We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team in the West Baltimore area, supporting multiple locations including a 199-unit family walk-up community. In this role, you will be the backbone of our facilities, ensuring that heating, plumbing, HVAC, and landscape systems perform at optimum functionality. Your goal is to maintain our facilities and common areas in the best possible condition, managing turnovers and work orders with precision.

You will be responsible for completing service requests in a timely manner and executing full unit turns, which include painting, sheetrock repair, screen repair, and minor plumbing or electrical work. Your day-to-day involves making units ready for new residents by repairing appliances, replacing faulty parts, checking locks, and ensuring all fixtures are in working order. Beyond unit maintenance, you will conduct regular preventative inspections of grounds, buildings, and major equipment to identify structural cracks, excessive wear, or safety hazards.

This position requires you to respond quickly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow strict safety protocols. You will also support the setup of ventilation and refrigeration systems, inspect alarm systems like carbon dioxide and fire protection, and undertake pest control activities. Success in this role depends on your ability to operate various equipment, from snow blowers to lawn mowers, and your capacity to communicate effectively with tenants, staff, and supervisors.
