About the Role
The MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) Buyer plays a vital role in supporting our operations by procuring essential MRO and indirect materials. This position is designed to generate value, ensure supply continuity, enhance safety, and increase overall plant performance. You will serve as a key partner in developing replenishment strategies to manage inventory levels, including Safety Stock, Min/Max, and VMI models.
In this role, you will navigate a dynamic environment where approximately 70% of your time is spent in an office setting, 20% in the plant, and 10% in person interactions with other departments. You will act as a relief resource for the Director of Purchasing and Buyers, requiring the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining effective communication across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleNavigate, update, and verify data in the procurement system
- check_circleServe as relief to the Director of Purchasing and Buyers
- check_circlePrepare RFQs and RFPs, assess submissions, and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery
- check_circleCreate purchase orders and blanket purchase orders while notifying relevant parties
- check_circleMaintain prompt communication with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
