This position is designed for a skilled operator who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing setting. You will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of equipment, including saws, polishers, grinders, and both NC and manual milling machines. The role requires a high degree of precision, as you will read engineering drawings, perform necessary calculations, and use gauging equipment to ensure parts meet strict specifications.
Your day-to-day involves operating Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) machines, performing preventative maintenance on workstations, and handling materials safely. You will also engage in rigging tasks using cranes and related equipment, adhering to strict safety standards. Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues are essential, as you will work closely with the team to maintain accurate records and follow detailed instructions.
