About the Role
Southern Health Partners Inc seeks a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate, evidence-based care within correctional facilities. This role exists to deliver critical medical, dental, and psychiatric services to an underserved population of incarcerated patients. You will serve as a vital link in the healthcare continuum, ensuring that every patient receives high-quality care while maintaining the safety and regulatory compliance of the facility.
In this dynamic clinical environment, you will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of RNs, physicians, and custody staff. Your day will involve delivering direct patient care, administering medications, performing comprehensive assessments, and supporting both chronic disease management and urgent medical needs. Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in promoting a safe clinical environment by working alongside custody teams and participating in on-call rotations to respond to medical emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleAssist with psychiatric care coordination and suicide risk monitoring
- check_circleMaintain infection control, safety, and compliance with state regulations
- check_circleRespond to medical emergencies and participate in on-call rotation as needed

- check_circleEducate patients on health conditions, medications, and self-care
- check_circleParticipate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements
- verifiedActive LPN license in practicing state
- verifiedBLS/CPR certification
- verifiedMedication administration certification (where required)
- verifiedIV therapy certification (preferred)
- verifiedExperience in correctional or acute care (preferred)
Nice to Have
IV therapy certification. Experience in correctional or acute care.
