This role serves as a critical bridge between offsite warehouse facilities and the main plant, ensuring seamless logistics operations. You will supervise processes and procedures in receiving, shipping, and warehouse departments, maintaining a continuous focus on safe operating procedures within the facility and dock areas. The position requires overseeing all material handling activities, including loading and unloading trucks, material staging, and documentation.
You will manage inventory control, conduct cycle counts, and arbitrate disputes to ensure accurate business system reporting. A key part of the day involves responding proactively to performance concerns, employee relations matters, and ensuring the department meets GMP standards. You will also support forklift safety training, conduct routine warehouse inspections, and manage the plant's waste storage to ensure safe and organized removal. The role demands the ability to prioritize workload, delegate tasks, and adjust to urgent situations while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as planning, operations, and maintenance.
