The Role Experience
In this position, you will serve as a vital link in hospital coverage running Monday through Sunday. Your day typically begins with pre-clinic rounds, followed by clinic hours from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You can expect to manage an average of 5 to 10 hospital patients per mid-level provider daily, alongside 6 to 12 surgeries per day. The caseload includes 50% trauma cases with a 100% adult population.
Clinical responsibilities include EVD placement, ICP monitor placement, and the primary surgical care of complex wounds. You will also be on call for one weeknight and one weekend day per week.
