About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Locum OBGYN to join a practice near Buckman, OR, starting as soon as possible for an ongoing engagement. This role offers the chance to support a busy inpatient setting with a robust delivery volume of approximately 312 births annually.
Role Context & Schedule
The position requires coverage for 24-hour in-house call shifts, running from 7:30 AM to 7:30 AM. While the primary need is for 24-hour coverage, providers preferring 12-hour shifts are considered for both day (7:30 AM–7:30 PM) and night (7:30 PM–7:30 AM) blocks. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a wide spectrum of obstetric care, ranging from low-risk pregnancies and routine deliveries to high-risk scenarios, including breech births, multiple births, and complex complications such as abruptions.
Key clinical responsibilities include performing and interpreting FHR tracings (NST/CST/FSE), conducting Level I/Screening ultrasounds, and executing vaginal deliveries, low forceps, and C-sections. Experience with VBACs and repairing 3rd & 4th-degree lacerations is essential. The team utilizes Epic for electronic medical records.
Compensation & Benefits
This role offers a competitive hourly rate alongside a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your time away from home. Compensation includes housing, car rental, gas, mileage (for driving your own vehicle), parking, tolls, and baggage fees. Additionally, A++ rated malpractice insurance with tail coverage is provided.
Financial incentives include a $2,000 referral bonus for any referral who works 160 hours. Call premiums are structured to reward availability: a competitive weeknight call premium applies if called in, and weekend call time is compensated at a rate equivalent to 6 regular hours per day when called in.
