The Role in Context
As a Neurologist, you will provide inpatient consult-only services during 12-hour on-site shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, followed by 12 hours of call coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Your consults will cover stroke, seizure, EEG interpretation and reading, and other neurological conditions. You will supervise the APP assigned to the service each day. Tele-neuro coverage through an outside group manages initial strokes overnight, resulting in generally quiet call. The average daily census is approximately 20 patients.
