Wooster Motor Ways is seeking a dependable, safety-first Company Driver to haul freight across our regional lanes. Based in Argos, Indiana, this position focuses on efficient drop-and-hook operations on the front end and live unloads on the back. Drivers will run routes between Argos and Bowling Brook or Argos and Fort Wayne, Monday through Friday.
We offer steady miles and a clear pay structure designed to reward safe, experienced drivers. Whether hauling general commodities or specialized cargo, you will be part of a team that looks out for one another in a professional work environment. The role is built for drivers who value reliability and accountability, ensuring freight moves smoothly while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Your day begins with operating a fully equipped International LT truck, featuring a microwave, refrigerator, TV, premium driver's seat, and an auxiliary power unit (APU) for comfort on the road. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load and secure cargo, and maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation. Communication is key; you will serve as a clear liaison with dispatch and customers, verifying bills of lading and collecting signatures to ensure paperwork is complete. Basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluids and minor repairs, is also part of keeping the trailer clean and ready for the next run.
Applicants must possess a valid Class A CDL with at least one year of experience and must pass all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements. While HazMat endorsement and a TWIC card are preferred, they are not strictly required. Candidates with a High School Diploma or GED are encouraged to apply.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background and foster a culture where team players are respected and cooperative.
