About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated CDL A Drivers to join our dedicated team for local routes. This position is designed for drivers who prefer to return home daily while ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time. You will be the face of our service, operating tractor-trailers to local customers and maintaining the integrity of our logistics network.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation of your vehicle, performing pre-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues, and executing preventative maintenance. You will plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while strictly adhering to all truck driving rules and regulations regarding size, weight, route designations, and break periods. Your day will involve coordinating closely with dispatch and transport management to ensure smooth operations, documenting work/rest periods and miles driven, and retaining fuel and toll receipts.
You will also handle unexpected situations with adaptability and foresight, whether navigating traffic or weather conditions. The role requires hands-on proficiency with electronic equipment such as GPS, AVL units, and CB radios, as well as the ability to report defects, accidents, or violations promptly and ensure the security of all cargo.
