This is a training-based entry role in hog procurement operations, designed to transform business processes through technology. The position starts with hands-on livestock handling at the plant and progresses toward a future role in hog buying. You will learn livestock receiving operations, procurement programs, and buying procedures while gaining deep industry experience.
As a Trainee, you will work in livestock receiving alleys, sort and identify livestock per segregation programs, and support the scheduling of deliveries. You will train alongside experienced hog buyers in the field and eventually provide vacation coverage for them. The role offers tremendous career growth potential within an established and well-respected organization, with full training provided for the hog procurement pathway.
