Linen Technician

About the Role

The Linen Distribution Technician is a vital, active role within our healthcare facility operations, dedicated to ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient flow of linen services. This position serves as the backbone of our distribution network, bridging the gap between storage and patient care areas.

In this role, you will work directly under the Linen Distribution Manager to manage the entire lifecycle of linen handling. Your day involves delivering clean linen in a neat and orderly fashion while simultaneously collecting and transporting soiled textiles. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing storage areas, and ensuring that exchange and top-off carts are built to prescribed par levels. Beyond logistics, you act as a point of contact for service requests, responding to customer calls with a professional, customer-first attitude.

The environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. You can expect to walk 3-5 miles daily within the facility, handling loads up to 10 pounds and maneuvering carts with displaced weights up to 70 pounds. A key aspect of the position is the ability to adapt; you must be willing to step in and fulfill the duties of other shift positions if team members are absent, ensuring continuous coverage.
