Reporting to the Director of Environmental Health and Safety, the Life Safety Engineer serves as the subject matter expert for fire and life safety programs within Riverside Health System. This role is critical to ensuring a safe and healthful physical environment for all building occupants by developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive fire prevention strategies.
You will act as the primary liaison with Authorities Having Jurisdiction, surveyors, and regulatory inspectors, leading all regulatory or accreditation surveys related to fire prevention. The position requires interpreting complex life safety and building design drawings to participate in the development and design of construction projects and renovations. Additionally, you will respond to emergency situations to provide expert consultation and guidance.
