About the Role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) serves as a vital member of the Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg / MST) team at Central Maine Medical Center. In this dynamic unit, you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Your work is essential to supporting patient safety, care coordination, and quality outcomes while enhancing the overall patient experience.
As a night shift nurse working 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., you will be the eyes and hands of the care team during the evening and overnight hours. You will collaborate closely with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery. Your day-to-day involves monitoring patient status and clinical changes, assisting with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws, and documenting care in EMR/EHR systems. You will play a key role in ensuring infection control compliance and communicating any changes in patient condition promptly to maintain a safe environment for our patients.
