Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) serves as a licensed caregiver. In this role, you assume responsibility and accountability for assigned residents or patients for your shift of duty. Nursing care is delivered through the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of each resident's or patient's plan of care.
You will adhere to the standards of care for the area, manage the environment to ensure resident and patient safety, and supervise the care activities performed by nursing assistants. The role requires strict adherence to all Center policies and procedures, as well as compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act.
