Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) serves as a licensed caregiver, assuming responsibility and accountability for assigned residents or patients during their shift. This role is designed for those seeking a rewarding position that respects work-life balance. The LPN provides nursing care through the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the resident's or patient's plan of care. Key aspects of the day-to-day include adhering to standards of care, managing the environment to ensure safety, and supervising the care activities performed by nursing assistants. The role requires following all center policies and procedures while performing duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act.
