About the Role
The Optical Manager serves as the vital liaison between our members and the lab, ensuring that orders are processed timely while managing, teaching, and coaching the optical team. This position goes beyond standard optician duties, requiring a blend of clinical expertise and strategic leadership to drive department performance.
In this role, you will guarantee service excellence through all points of contact, setting the standard for the "GOLD" Member experience. Your day will involve interacting directly with members to confirm appointments, perform eyeglass adjustments, and recommend products that improve visual needs. You will also manage the operational heartbeat of the department, from opening and closing procedures to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.
As a leader, you will build high-performing teams by fostering a culture of collaboration and development. You are expected to model leadership competencies, provide honest and timely feedback, and act as a champion for business growth. Success in this role requires a deep knowledge of key metrics, allowing you to identify trends, correct process breakdowns, and communicate the connection between operational performance and financial targets to your team.
